When researching the Carson JK-042 Close Focus 10×42 Roof Prism Binoculars on the internet, we found only 1 user review, which gave the binoculars a 4 star rating out of a possible 5 stars. Overall, the user found the binoculars to be great, though there were a few things that weren’t so great.
The used liked the comfortable and lightweight design, making them easy to use and hold. The user found that the water proofing is nice, and does at least protect against a little bit of water with no harm whatsoever. The main thing that was impressive though is the optical quality, which though is not perfect by any stretch, is excellent especially for its price as a lower priced pair of binoculars. Overall, the user found that they offer users a great value for the price.
The biggest complaint the user had was that the focusing knob was too easily adjusted, requiring them to readjust constantly. Other than that, the only problems to speak of are slight issues with the optics, but these issues are so common in lower end binoculars, that they really don’t matter. So, the only issue the binoculars have is an annoyance, though not a deal breaker.
All in all, the binoculars appear to be a good set. Although there is only one review, the one reviewer had much to say, explaining that it provides a number of advantages, most importantly great optics for the price. For this, we too would recommend the binoculars.
